Manly Tips: Your wife is probably right

A good portion of my male viewers clicked out of this post as soon as they read the title. On the flip side, my three female viewers are hungry to see what I have to say next. This post is going to be a little bit more relaxed in comparison to my recent serious and melancholic tone in the past few posts. I'm going to take my own advice for once and have a little bit of fun with this one.

Your wife is right when she says you don't take enough time for yourself. Men have this terrible habit of working their fingers to the bone. Something I've elaborated on being incredibly guilty of in the past and something I'm still struggling to balance. Men don't breathe enough, something we could learn to steal from women. We don't ever close our eyes and take in our surroundings, it's all about pushing to the next objective. Throttling the gas and wondering why we end up exhausted. Your wife is right, you need to take the time to relax. Relaxing isn't sitting in front of the television and mindlessly letting hours go by. What they mean is in addition to mindless relaxing,  is to pick up a hobby. Aside from work, they want us to find something we can throw our work ethic and heart in to. They'll more than likely encourage whatever habit you pick up as long as it's healthy and not taking away from your responsibilities. Your wives want to see you happy, and in some cases, more than you want yourself to be happy.

Your wife is right when she says you aren't spending enough time with your kids. This idea is a bit more self explanatory, but I'll elaborate on it as a reminder. Becoming distant from your kids happens faster than you are probably able to recognize. Through school, the consumption of media, there own friendships, and their own view and approach to the word, they are growing at an incredibly rapid rate. You don't want to become the guy asking where all the time went. One of the greatest gifts you could give to your kids as a father is making time for them. The time to understand their thoughts, to learn about their characters, and how you can encourage their dreams. To raise a child is to commit to a job for eighteen years at the minimum. Even after they move onto their own life, they'll still always need their parents there. In addition to your financial job, look at your kids as an emotional job. They need a father figure in their life to understand and help them with everything their mom isn't teach them.

Your wife is right when she says you don't clean up enough. Alright let me be the first to admit, there are some men out there who are incredibly clean and tidy. A lot of us men don't know the "proper" way to clean. And whether or not they are willing to admit to the fact is up to them, but you certainly hold my jealousy. Women are spider-man when it comes to cleaning. I'm able to comprehend what they are doing half the time, but I'll be damned if it isn't impressive. If there is any cleanliness problem, they'll Macgyver a solution quicker than you are able to process the initial problem. In addition, the one time they let you clean, they'll be able to spot dust or grime with their laser eyes. Its terrifyingly impressive. 

Most of all your wife is right when she says the two of you don't spend enough time together. Set some things aside every now and then and go on a date. The effort goes a long way.
